Mission and Vision

Association Regional Development for Future Ukraine (RDFU) works to improve the conditions of the most vulnerable people to prevent and alleviate human suffering, and protect and respect human dignity with complete impartiality and no discrimination. We envision a Ukraine of resilient communities and liable government.

Guiding Principles

Gender Mainstreaming - mainstream gender perspective in designing, planning and assessing interventions both at grassroots and legislative levels. RDFU’s gender-specific actions equally enable women and men, and boys and girls to participate in – and benefit from – development efforts.

Youth Engagement - engage youth in problem-solving and decision-making to build self-confidence and ownership over their communities’ future. RDFU projects are designed to give youth opportunities for education and skills that will empower them to be active citizens and promote their participation in civil life.

Advocacy - empower local communities to protect their rights and voice their needs and solutions to stakeholders, and local and central governments. RDFU applies a range of tools to increase opportunities for social capital and civil awareness.

Innovation - promote and encourage investment in innovative techniques that improve productivity and outcomes. RDFU supports community engagement methods and education techniques, farming practices, innovation in capital investments. RDFU also promotes innovative approaches of information management, public administration and crisis management.

Independent Consultant/Communications&Media Expert/Media Producer. Has 20+ years diverse experience of working in the field of sustainable development and public education sector, civil protection and disaster risk reduction, environmental safety including 10+ years experience as a key-expert of complex multi-stakeholder driven projects funded by major international donors including EC, SDC, USAID, UNDP/GEF, WB, EBRD. Extensive experience in project implementation in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Substantial experience in managing information campaigns of the international programs and projects including development of communications strategies and implementation of media plans, production and dissemination of promotional materials, organization of workshops and press conferences.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the cultures, politics and sensitivities of Former Soviet Union countries Excellent understanding of the implementation, management, and reporting requirements of major EC contracts, as well as a first class reputation and capability for delivering complex projects to tight deadlines.

Successful experience of cooperation and good personal contacts with journalists of Former Soviet Union countries.

Author/Producer of more 50 documentaries. Volodymyr Kuznietsov is a highly experienced independent filmmaker who has received numerous international awards for his documentaries including the Leonardo Grand Prize (Italy), EU Europa Prize (France), Grand Prizes at Film Festivals in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, South Africa, Hungary. Mr. Kuznietsov has worked in the U.S. at the George Lucas Studio and with broadcasters from Canada, France, Great Britain, Germany and Japan. He co-produced “Chernobyl Shelter 1997” for the United Nations First Pledging Conference in New York, which assisted in raising more 350 millions of dollars for reconstruction of the sarcophagus at the damaged Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station.
